    Some companies, such as Amazon.com operate an ‘affiliate or associate program’. If you, as a website owner, carry an advert with a link to Amazon.com or a specific book on amazon and someone clicks on the advert, goes to amazon and buys the book, you get a commission payment from Amazon.

    Amazon provide code for their advertisements which you just cut and paste into your web pages.
